About Me
Hey there!
Its an absolute pleasure to meet you!
I’m Rachel. A product designer based in Lagos, Nigeria, with a background in Business Administration. I love blending creativity with functionality to design experiences that not only look good but make people’s lives easier. I like to think of myself as a digital problem solver, transforming complex challenges into simple, intuitive designs.
Before I found my way into design, I worked for three years as a customer service rep in a real estate firm here in Lagos, Nigeria. That experience taught me a lot about communication, empathy, and what it really means to solve problems for people. When I eventually discovered product design, it felt like the perfect way to combine my business background and love for people into something more creative and impactful.
In 2022, I took the leap. I enrolled in design courses, started building my portfolio, and never looked back. I even earned a Google UX Design certification in 2023, which really helped me sharpen my skills and stay updated with industry tools and trends.
The transition has been an exciting journey, filled with challenges and breakthroughs.
These days, I draw inspiration from the buzzing city of Lagos, a city full of culture, hustle, and constant innovation. I’m passionate about designing digital products that are not only useful but also bring a bit of joy to people’s everyday lives.
Outside of work, I’m a huge Kdrama lover, and I’m always up for good food and gist with friends. I also recently picked up beaded bag making as a creative outlet; it’s fun, colorful, and lets me express myself in a completely different way.
If you ever want to chat about design, Kdramas, fashion, or even bead patterns, I’m your girl.
